Judge Cody Axness
Flad Architects
Madison, WI

Cody Axness, ASLA, LEED AP is a Madison, WI-based landscape architect with the nationally recognized multi-disciplinary firm, Flad Architects. He has a project background that spans a wide variety of academic, healthcare, corporate, research & development, and production projects located across the United States and internationally, a number of which receiving award recognition. Cody has served the profession in numerous roles through the Wisconsin Chapter of ASLA, most recently as past-president. He also sits on ASLA’s Leadership Development Committee. Cody holds degrees in Landscape Architecture and Environmental Design from North Dakota State University.

Judge Bill Eubanks
Seamon Whiteside
Charleston, SC

Bill Eubanks, FASLA, LEED AP lives in Charleston, SC. He is the Creative Director of Seamon Whiteside, where he has received several design and planning awards. The studio focuses on building community through sustainable urbanism. Eubanks has completed all certification programs through the National Charrette Institute. In 2011, Eubanks received a “Westie” award for his work in the West Ashley area and in 2014 he was named as one of Charleston’s “50 Most Progressive” by Charlie Magazine. He serves on the board of the Ashley Bridge District with the City of Charleston, the board of the East Cooper Land Trust, the City of Charleston’s Community Development Advisory Board, and serves on the ASLA Board of Trustees. Previously, he served on the 10,000 Trees Committee with the City of Charleston and was Vice President, Membership of ASLA. He became a Fellow of ASLA in 2007 and received his Bachelors of Landscape Architecture from the University of Arkansas in 1981. The Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design honored him with a Distinguished Alumni Award in 2016 and he currently serves on the school’s Dean’s Circle. His hobbies include kayaking and looking for shark teeth.

Judge Marissa McKinney
Coleman & Associates
Austin, TX

Marissa moved from Phoenix, Arizona in 2014 to join Coleman & Associates. Though she is a Nevada native, Marissa graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Landscape Architecture and a Master’s of Urban and Environmental Planning from Arizona State University. Marissa’s work experience in Phoenix was varied which allows her to be prepared for the breadth of work that C&A performs. Marissa currently serves as the Central Texas Section Chair for the American Society of Landscape Architects and is a member of the CodeNEXT Committee helping to ensure that Landscape Architecture is embedded in Austin’s new code. Marissa wears many hats at Coleman & Associates; she has worked a variety of projects including Master Planned Communities, Environmental Graphics, Higher Education, Commercial Office Building Renovation, and Multifamily projects as well as helping to nurture, grow and build the relationships that C&A has fostered with clients.
